Not only it mentions FreeType. You can also see Marti Maria mentioned in the bottom. And Marti Maria is developer of LittleCMS which is used for color management by pretty much every color managed Linux application.

Interesting times, ladies and gents.

[Free discussion] Kdenlive 0.7.8 in two weeks

Although current version of KDEnlive is pretty unstable it's already a great application. This large number of crashes and bugs fixed is definitely very good news.
I'm happy because I just spotted in the list a couple of bugs that drove me crazy everytime I used KDEnlive. :D

I'm really looking forward to Lumiera, but since its release is still in a pretty distant future, KDEnlive is at the moment my weapon of choice, so these new version will be welcome.
Kdenlive team announced that 0.7.8 will be out on September 13th, or so. The list of changes is here. If you have a peek at it, you'll see that there's quite a number of crashers fixed, so maybe finally it will be usable, because otherwise it looks like a very cool NLE :)

[Vector Graphics] Inkscape releases

@ScislaC hope you're getting better soon...
@prokoudine, the LPE tools "resurrection" ;) would be of great help, maybe worth a tutorial for everyone to view.
By the way, I've had a glimpse at Inkscape's code, and although it may be straightforward for coders, I feel my C is a little rusty (read "obsolete"). What kind of things could a bad/non coder do to help ?

@prokoudine: AFAIK that feature of "always embedding" and the dialog were created by Krzysztof and have no direct relation with Steren's work, which is still in a branch targeted for 0.49

@ScislaC: thanks for chiming in, mate :)

@gez: well, I'm afraid that it works exactly like I described.
