Yes, this forum.

I think there needs to be a general graphics forum like this one but I think it suffers from a problem I've seen a few times before when new forums are created.

The creator had a great vision of a meeting place, carefully planning what categories that would be needed then released it saying; here you go, fill it.
Now there are very many categories, most of them with no posts.
A newcomer sees a large empty forum and get the feeling that this is a dead palace.

Why not reduce the amount of categories to a few main ones, photo, illustration, animation, fonts etc and skip subcategories for now?
Then the forum will not look as large and empty and people might have the courage to post here.
Then as there are more posts coming you can expand and add categories as they are needed.

I would love to use this forum but right now it feels a bit intimidating.

[Editing] Complex masks in CS5

Here is demo of new complex selection/mask creator in CS5 (possibly).

That does look like refinement brush in GIMP as of GSoC 2009 :) I wish it was included into 2.8 :)

The best way to accelerate them is to write them :) Just kidding :) But seriously, I'd love to write some, I only need to start using Krita on daily basis for that.

Dear libreuser, we actually have an interview with Krita team on this web site :), so yes — we've heard of it (and used it). Krita is shaping up well indeed :)
