i don't know how popular is Shoebot ( http://tinkerhouse.net/shoebot/ ) in the libre graphics world - it was a fork of Nodebox, from Ricardo Lafuente (were present at LGM in Poland, i think) - this tool shown as very interesting about how Python syntax can be great for doing generative vectorial graphics.
Hey, that's an interesting concept. Perfect for conceptual art, generating graphs, or for use as a chaos generator.
